Poland Trip

So, I haven't posted in a while, things have been a bit crazy.. But I couldn't post without some picture, since I don't have a cute baby, hopefully some day. I hope a picture of my moms youngest baby would do.. Maggie Moo! I love this picture. Mom had gone into the store, so maggie got in the front seat and waited.. It looked like she was driving..

So word has gotten around to some of my family and friends, that I am going on my first missionary trip this summer to Lublin, Poland. I will be there July 7-17. I am so excited. I am 1 of 12 from my group at church. My friend Amber is going to be a missionary over there full time, and hopefully will be staying there when we go over, if all her support comes in.
What we will be doing while we are there is still up in the air. Don't worry Mom, I am not teaching anyone swing dancing, but perhaps we will be doing sports ministry, a coffee shop, or teaching english as a second language. The missionaries over there currently are still trying to figure out how they can best use us.
As for where is Lublin located it is south east of Warsaw, by the Ukraine and Belarus border.

This is a website in which you can learn about Lublin..

Above is the website to one of the missionary families we will be working with
Why am I going to Poland you might be asking..
Here is an interesting number:
evangelical believers number far less than 1% of the population
Wow, is that crazy!! We are so blessed to live in the country in which we do..
So if everyone could pray for me and the rest of the Poland team as we prepare for the trip..
I will keep you posted on the trip as planning progresses...

A day off..

So, I took a day off of work to clean house, have the plumber come and get some housework done.. Is that happening, NO!! The plumber did come, and my drains are squecky clean now.. Other than that, I am surfing the web, checking out friends blog sites, got my nails done and checking my bank account online. But I did find something online that is worth all that time. My friend Rachel had a link to this site on her blog, and I have watched this video like 10x, and it is funnier every time. Check out http://www.xanga.com/satanisatool
It is Beastie Boys Parody Called "Lazy Munice" Check the link on the March 6th.
Other than I have to give a shout-out to Katie, who turned 21 yesterday.. Yes it is true!
Also, Sam (the famous Jersey Cat) was jeolous that he hasn't been posted yet on the blog. (don't worry his eyes don't glow, like a demon all the time :) )

The Cultural Party

So last night my friends Nate and Hoby hosted the much anticipated Cultural Party. There was wine, great food, enlightening conversation, and Nate's directorial debut with his Kenya and Egypt video's. It was a great time. It was nice chance to catch up with friends, drink some wine (the Shiraz was the best, but it always is) and enjoy some great food. I thought those stuffed mushrooms were de-lish, wonder who made those??
Hope you enjoy the pictures. For those who would like the pictures, just let me know and I will get copies made for you..

Favorite Shots from Alaska: July 05'

So, these are some of my favorite pictures from Alaska.. I only took 700 (thank goodness for Digital camera's and large disk space)..
Shot1: Grandma with 2 of her 3 grandson's. Derek is off serving our country in the Marines.. We missed him! But doesn't Jordan and Alex clean up well.

Shot 2: Mom hiking in the rain forest outside Juneau. We started singing because we were afraid of the bears..

Shot 3: This is of a Glacier.. Cool huh!

Shot 4: This is Katie in Sitka, it was a beautiful day..

Shot 5: This my favorite shot, it is Jordan looking for Bears.. He says it is his best side.. :)

Shot 6: Dad and me were never without our camera's..

Shot 7: This is the glacier my grandma woke me up to see. In which I yelled at her about, since I had only been asleep for about 4 hours after being awake for over 24 hours. But I apologized and it was definately worth getting up for. We were so close you could feel the coldness coming off the glacier, and hear the creeks of the ice..

Shot 8: Mom and Dad as we headed out that first night. It was about 1:30am when this picture was taken and it was quite nippy.

So I decided to join the newest craze, being a blogger. Not that I have to much to share or give wonderful insight on, but it is a great way to share pictures and news to everyone in one fail swoop.
I thought I would start by posting some pictures so everyone can see my new project.. My house.. I think it is going to be a project that last a few years, but it keeps me busy..
This first picture of the back yard. That is the previous owners furniture, I am hoping to buy some with my tax return.

The second one is the front of the house. I am looking forward to spending some time on the front porch once the weather gets nice..
The third one is of the side yard and the horrible bush (that thanks to a great friend is gone!!)
